The Cabins

A unique writer’s retreat and literary escape in 1066 Country

Step into our cosy historical hideaways and find the perfect space to write, read and rest. Named by The Times as one of the 24 most magical UK cabin stays, they’re ideal for writers, book lovers and anyone seeking calm and creative focus.

Less than 90 minutes from London, you’ll be immersed in the ancient landscape of the High Weald AONB. And from your doorstep, you can follow the 1066 Country Walk to Battle Abbey and the historic town of Battle.

Our Story

Our beautifully-crafted cabins have been built to blend into the timeless landscape of the High Weald AONB - and connect you with it. From the deck for watching birds fly over the meadow to the stargazing windows for views of our magical dark skies. 

No one seems to know how the farm got its name, but it must have something to do with the dazzling dark skies in this corner of the High Weald AONB. It’s the reason the cabins have stargazing windows above the beds.
