Before your stay we’ll send you a book questionnaire so our lovely local bookseller Ian can pick you out something suitably festive to enjoy during your stay. Whether you like a cosy crime mystery, a festive romance or a traditional Dickensian novel, we’ll have it beautifully wrapped and waiting for your arrival.

Your cabin will be bedecked in beautiful vintage decorations, with a Robert’s radio so you can listen to some soothing carols in the background. And there’ll be a selection of festive treats to tuck into as you settle into your reading nook for some literary R&R. Plus each cabin comes with a lockable phone jail, so you can be sure your precious reading time won’t be interrupted.

Just remember to look up from your book every now and then. Each cabin has its own stargazing window, so as you ponder your novel's engrossing plotline, you can discover a little celestial wonder from the comfort of your bed.

Email us to book. A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to secure your place, with the rest of the balance due 6 weeks before the retreat start date. This is an independent retreat so can be booked in the cabin of your choice throughout December.‍ ‍
