Travel back to our 1920s bohemian bolthole and settle into the antique armchair… just you, a vintage novel and a cabin of your very own. There’ll be no interruptions to your precious reading time, just Virginia’s beloved Beethoven playing in the background.
Unless, of course, you wish to venture out and explore some of the Bloomsbury Group sites near us… Monk’s House perhaps, where Virginia lived with her husband Leonard Woolf, or Sissinghurst Castle Garden, home to Virginia’s lover, gardener and writer Vita Sackville-West.
Whether Virginia Woolf is your literary hero, or you’re just in love with the Bloomsbury aesthetic, this soothing solo retreat is sure to leave you feeling rested and inspired.
This retreat takes place in our Lucy cabin, which is inspired by the writers, artists and thinkers of the Bloomsbury Group at the beginning of the 20th century.
